‘Showstoppers’ was really good this August. Our Holiday Bible Club ran from August 10 th to August 14 th. The children who came enjoyed learning about ‘God’s big plan’ for the world and for us. We learnt about Creation, David and Goliath, Daniel in the Lions’ Den and the birth of Jesus. We played a DVD story / drama and we sang our showstoppers’ song! We also learnt our Memory Verse: 2 Timothy 1 verse 9: “ It is God who saved us and chose us to live a holy life. He did this not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan long before the world began – to show his love and kindness to us through Christ Jesus. ” (New Living Translation) Of course, the arts and craft, the games, the delicious fruit enriched snacks, the singing and the fun times together made for an enjoyable week. Thank you to Margaret for playing the key board. The book stall was very good. Different team members were put in the spotlight as they shared their faith.
On Friday night the children performed different talents at the talent show. A very big thank you for taking part!! We all enjoyed a lovely supper including hot dogs and buns. Our thanks go to God. Also, to the team of very willing, enthusiastic and very talented adults and to our very willing young people who worked so hard too. Of course our thanks to the children for coming to ‘ Showstoppers ’ and to your families and friends.
