Our club this year was entitled “Champions!” and had a theme based on the Olympics. We had a fun-filled week with over 50 children, 14 teenagers and 14 leaders all taking part. It was a huge success and our very dedicated team of leaders and helpers thoroughly enjoyed it.
Each night we had an opening where we sang the Theme song and a different memory verse song. I would like to share our memory verses with you:
· “Let us run with determination the race that lies before us. Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus in whom our faith depends” Hebrews 12:1-2
· “Keep yourself in training for a godly life!” 1 Timothy 4:7
· “Encourage one another and help one another!” 1 Thess. 5:11
· “If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31
· I’m gonna run straight towards the goal in order to win the prize, the prize that the Lord will give me on that day! Based on Philippians 3:14 and 2 Timothy 4:8
We enjoyed games, crafts, various worksheets, refreshments and rounded the evening off with our Bible reading and narration.
On Friday we had a Family Fun Night with over 100 in attendance. Some of the children said their memory verses and sang our theme song. We then had a Beetle Drive and finished with some food.
This is always a highlight for me and I know I speak for the team. It is wonderful to see so many children coming along and taking part. Our JAM group and some of their friends are a huge help to us and we love to see their enthusiasm every year.
Bronwen and I would like to thank all the parents who brought their children along - you really encourage us.
A BIG THANK YOU to all the team - you always work so hard every year.
Thanks to all our young helpers - keep up the good work!
Thanks to everyone who donated gifts of money, refreshments and equipment and all who gave of their time.

St Paul
The Apostle Paul says that the Christian life is like an athlete running a race, and that Jesus is the ultimate Champion.
This Club looks at the life of Jesus and how he "ran the race".
It encourages children to run the race, in order to receive thr prize that God has waiting for us.
