HOLIDAY BIBLE CLUB 2007
The Holiday Bible Club took place from 13 to 17 August, 2007. ‘Waste Watchers’ was announced in style this year with a great big banner tied to the church fence. You couldn’t miss it, but just in case you did it was also announced on the hanging boards at the car park. The Hall had been decorated, craft materials and badges were waiting -- ready for the fun to begin.

“Hi Everyone,
We are so happy about the Holiday Bible Club. God was so good blessing all the preparations and the week itself. Our theme, Wastewatchers, was all about change and transformation,
e.g. From a Rubbish tip to a Beautiful garden
Our themes each night were:
www. from nothing to something
www. from water into wine
www. from darkness to light
www. from death to life
www. from sadness to joy
The keywords from John 1
(Contemporary English Version)
John 1:1-4 “In the beginning was the one who is called the Word. The Word was with God and was truly God. From the very beginning the Word was with God. And with this Word, God created all things. Nothing was made without the Word. Everything that was created received its life from him….”
John 1:14 “The Word became a human being and lived here with us. We saw his true glory, the glory of the only Son of the Father. From him all the kindness and all the truth of God have come down to us.”
John 1:5; John 1:9 “The light keeps shining in the dark, and darkness has never put it out….The true light that shines on everyone was coming into the world.”
John 1:11 “He came into his own world, but his own nation did not welcome him.”
John 1:14b “We saw his true glory, the glory of the only Son of the Father. From him all the kindness and all the truth of God have come down to us.” We celebrate that Jesus is alive. Our sadness can be turned to joy!
Lots of craft, art, games, Bible teaching, memory verse, singing, jokes, snacks, fun and quizzes made up each evenings activities at the Holiday Bible Club.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in any way, especially the team. Thanks be to God.
