RUN THE RACE

TRAINER

This year's Holiday Bible Club has came and gone however I have to say everyone had a brilliant time. Patricia started each evening with a bit of a song and dance to the song Shine which the children loved. The first evening theme was the story of Noah and how much he loved God and how all the animals raced to the Ark to escape the floods. Judy and Bert (the puppets) made a special appearance each evening and explained each nights story. The second evening was all about the calling of the Disciples and how they began their race to Jesus. The third evening was the story of how God is our Father in Heaven the children were shown the video clip of Derek Redmond and Judy and Bert explained that even though Derek was injured during his running race at the Olympics his father ran onto the track and helped him along his race just as our Father in Heaven runs along side us in our race to Jesus.. The Final evening was a fun filled evening and the children took part in various races followed by some special treats and a brilliant quiz.

Each child that attended the Holiday Bible Club received a small gift from the church along with a certificate. The team was lead by Susan who would just like to thank the following people, Margaret for supplying music each evening, and the Holiday Bible Club Team, Patricia, Bronwen, Jacqui, Nigel, David, Jill, Gemma, Gillian, Laura, Diane, Megan, Katie, Alison, Andrew, Gemma C, and all those who supported us through the week. Most of all the team would like to thank the parents and all the children who attended.

God Bless

Susan

Hebrews 12 V 1 - 3

New International Version (NIV)

12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
